“He is risen” (Mt 28:6) HE--Jesus! HE is the Son of God, the Son of Man, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, God in the flesh, the Messiah.
The Lord of Glory left His throne to take on human flesh in order to bled out His holy blood to wash us clean of sin. His love for us compelled Him to rescue us, and so He came, sent by the Father, to pay sin’s penalty on the cross for you and me.
IS--Jesus IS! He just didn’t live and die, come and go like the rest of mankind. He IS. He is alive. We don’t worship a dead Saviour, we worship a living Saviour Who has returned to His throne to rule and reign sovereign over His creation.
RISEN--Jesus RISEN! He was risen, He is still risen, and He will always be risen. On the cross He defeated sin. By His resurrection He defeated death. And because He IS risen, death is forever defeated, vanquished for those who believe on His name.
HE IS RISEN. HE IS RISEN INDEED! Jesus died and rose to save us from our sins. A dead Jesus can’t save. Only a risen, living Jesus can.
Call on His risen name and be saved today.
This is what Easter is all about: a risen Jesus saving lost people.
