“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor 15:55, 57).
For believers’ death is only a doorway to eternal joy when we enter into the arms of Jesus. In many ways death is like birth. Birth gives us a physical presence in this world. Death gives us a spiritual presence in Heaven. With death, the spirit is forced out of the body into the presence of Jesus, safe and secure, at total peace.
While the action of death may be uncomfortable, as the action of birth may be to a baby, death releases us into the glory of Heaven. Rejoined with Christian family and friends, our pains, sorrows, sicknesses, troubles, despairs will fade into a forgotten past, replaced with eternal joy, peace, security, freedom, hope, love. But most of all, we will see Jesus, the One who saved us!
For Christians, death and the grave are only a very short and temporary nuisance that will brushed aside by God.
We have victory through Jesus!
Are you saved? Will death sting you? Will the grave have victory over you? Come to Jesus.
The grave could not hold Jesus, and the grave will not hold His children. Be saved today!
