Student arrested for threat against election

Jones County was in the national news last week following the arrest of a Milledgeville college student who, in his apparent attempt to get back at a voter he felt was confrontational, committed several federal offenses.Nicholas Wimbish, 25, was arrested Nov. 4.

Bad behavior leads to sentence for probation

A Jones County defendant will be serving the next five years on probation for what started as bad behavior at a party.Dantonio Jamar Anthony Sr. was in Jones County Superior Court Oct. 24 to enter a guilty plea for the offense of criminal attempt to commit a felony.
