Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) swore in five new volunteers on November 13, 2023. These volunteers will advocate for the best interests of children in foster care in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. Defendant avoids trial with guilty plea, gets 15 years

A defendant slated for trial opted to enter a guilty plea and received a sentence of 15 years that may be served on probation, due to plea negotiations. Cameren Dillion Freeman, 23, was in Jones County Superior Court Nov. 30.
