Woman dies in three-vehicle wreck on Gray Highway

A Jones County woman lost her life on Gray Highway last week following a collision involving three vehicles.A press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office stated that the Sept. 3 fatal accident remains under investigation.

Defendant pleads guilty after multiple arrests

A Jones County man arrested twice in a two-month span entered a guilty plea in Jones County Superior Court and received a 15-year sentence that included confinement.Brian Austin Meeks, 34, was in court Aug. 20 to enter his plea.
