Kickoff time remains at 7:30 p.m. and the game will still be played at Eagles Landing.

Two teenagers found to be in possession of firearms

On the heels of the arrests of two juveniles for attempted armed robbery, two more teenagers were arrested for underage possession of firearms.
Dorian Rumph and Tytravuis Holloway, both 17, were arrested on the charge Sept. 14.

Health Department preparing for facility renovations

The quarterly meeting for Jones County’s Board of Health began with an update of renovations for the building that houses the Jones County Health Department.
The Sept. 8 meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Ed Barbee, and Morris Hutcheson presented the building update.

Juveniles arrested for shooting, armed robbery

Two juveniles have been arrested and charged in an alleged armed robbery attempt that took place in a south Jones County neighborhood.
One of the juveniles was shot in the arm during the incident that took place Sept. 12.
