Friday night's football game between Jones County and Eagles Landing has been moved to Thursday night due to approaching weather associated with Hurricane Ian. Kickoff time remains at 7:30 p.m. and the game will still be played at Eagles Landing.

Two teenagers found to be in possession of firearms

On the heels of the arrests of two juveniles for attempted armed robbery, two more teenagers were arrested for underage possession of firearms. Dorian Rumph and Tytravuis Holloway, both 17, were arrested on the charge Sept. 14.

Two juveniles have been arrested and charged in an alleged armed robbery attempt that took place in a south Jones County neighborhood. One of the juveniles was shot in the arm during the incident that took place Sept. 12.
