Man pleads guilty, to serve 5 years on drug charges

A Jones County man was sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in the sale of drugs as the result of an uncover operation. Dean Watson Walker was in Jones County Superior Court July 14 to enter a guilty plea to the charges against him.

Courthouse in need of emergency repairs

The Jones County Board of Commissioners dealt with maintenance issues in county buildings at their third Tuesday meeting, both of which required immediate action. Chairman Chris Weidner called the July 19 meeting to order, and Gray Mayor Ed Barbee led the opening prayer and pledge of allegiance.
