Clifton Ridge Middle School hosted a heartfelt Veterans Day program last month to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.The event brought together students, staff, families, and local veterans for a morning of music, reflection, and gratitude.

Jones County eighth graders explored hands-on career simulations during the Be Pro Be Proud event, which featured a mobile workshop designed to introduce students to high-demand skilled trades.Justina Brown, project manager for Be Pro Be Proud, explained the purpose of the program.

The Jones County Kiwanis club recently held its annual Francis Golson Memorial Tournament to raise funds for Scout Troop 485, the Eston Altman Scouting Center and other children’s charities. The first-place winners of the tournament represented Team Woodman sponsored by Heath Greene.
