Mail issues cause some to miss appeal deadline

The August meeting of the Jones County Board of Tax Assessors included several property owners who let it be known they missed the appeal deadline because of issues with mail delivery.The Aug. 7 meeting was called to order by Chairman Leigh Stanford.

Jones releases album ahead of Macon performance

David Jones has a big weekend coming up soon with a new album being released at midnight before he performs in a unique Middle Georgia venue.In an Aug. 8 interview, Jones talked about his Aug. 23 show at the Society Garden on Ingleside Avenue in Macon.
