We live in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood of Whispering Pines. We are a close-knit community, cherishing the tranquil lifestyle and the camaraderie amongst neighbors. However, a looming change threatens this equilibrium. The properties at 105/107 Bone Creek Rd. is set to undergo a zone change from R-1, C-1, and C-2 to a conditional C-2.
If this change is approved, these properties will be open to being used for outdoor storage by an asphalt company. With this comes incessant traffic of heavy dump trucks and equipment, notorious for blockages and damaging our roads. This is not speculation - we already suffer from frequent road blockages and heavy road damage due to their current operations.
This change not only impacts the property in question, but it also poses a significant threat to the entire neighborhood’s tranquility, road safety, and well-being. It is also important to note that such drastic zoning changes could potentially set a dangerous precedent for future development plans at other residential areas. Yours could be next.
We, the residents of Whispering Pines, are urging our commissioners to prevent this zoning change. Keeping the current zoning intact will help protect our neighborhoods character and our safety. Let’s raise our voices and stop this unnecessary and harmful zoning change. Please attend the April 1 commissioners meeting to support our neighborhoods.
