Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce will host a golf tournament Sept. 22 at Healy Point Country Club with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. $550 4-man team. Sponsorships and team sign up available at jonescounty.org.
JC Fire Department Station 8 annual BBQ
Jones County Fire Department Station 8, Gray Highway, is having its annual Open House and barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, Sept.
24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be prepared again by Station 8’s cooking crew and include their own local “Snow’s Famous Brunswick Stew.”
Plates are now $10, including drinks. They will also have the Southern Pride Cloggers performing at 12:00 noon.
Grief Share Recovery Seminar
Bradley Baptist Church, Gray, Grief Share Recovery seminar and support group meets each Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Nov. 3. No cost required.

Ocmulgee CASA training
Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold its Fall volunteer training every Monday and Wednesday, beginning Sept.
14 through Oct. 9, from 1-4 p.m. at Lakeview Academy in Milledgeville. Trainees must attend all nine sessions to complete the training.
CASA volunteers serve as the voice for children in foster care. They attend court hearings and advocate for the best interests of the child. For more information, please call 478-452-9170 or visit ocmulgeecasa.org.

Velma McFadden Missionary Food Bank will be at Greater Jordan Chapel, 1415 Highway 22 East, Haddock, on the following schedule each month: First Saturday, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Third Thursday, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Mobile Food Truck Distribution - Fourth Wednesday, 11 a.m. until all is gone.
