21 indictments include drug, molestation, theft charges

More than half of the bill of indictments returned by Jones County’s Gray Jury Oct. 11 were drug-related.

The Grand Jury considered 21 cases and brought back true bills for all 21. That means jury members found enough evidence for the cases to move forward to Jones County Superior Court.

Two individuals were indicted for failure to register as sex offenders and the drug offenses include possession and sale of marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine.

Ronnie Lee Roberson was indicted for three counts of computer pornography. His indictment states that Roberson utilized internet services to seduce, solicit, lure, entice a child under 16, to commit an act of aggravated child molestation.

Thalley Lewis was indicted for

MORE CHARGES >> A6 32 counts of entering autos, three counts of theft by taking, which were autos and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The offense occurred Sept. 1 in the River North subdivision.

William Lynwood Cumbie, Marshall Shane McInvale, Justin William Wiggins and Samantha S. Thomas were charged with possession methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled substance by inmate.

The indictment states that, while inmates in the Jones County jail, they acted together as parties to the crime to possess and distribute methamphetamine. The date of the offenses was Aug. 18.
