Friends of the Library will have a book sale Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 273 Railroad Street in Gray, next to the JCHS track. Cookbooks, 4/$1. Many free books.

Children’s, 5/$1. Feature of the month - Christmas. Sponsored by Friends of the Library of Jones County.

Ocmulgee CASA Volunteer Training

Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold a new volunteer training class beginning January 18, from 1-4 pm at Lakeview Academy in Milledgeville. The 9 required training sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday through February 15. CASA volunteers serve as the voice for children in foster care. Velma McFadden Food Bank

Velma McFadden Missionary Food Bank will be at Greater Jordan Chapel, 1415 Highway 22 East, Haddock, on the following schedule each month: First Saturday, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Third Thursday, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Mobile Food Truck Distribution - Fourth Wednesday, 11 a.m. until all is gone.
