    The drive toward the start of the baseball season continues for the Greyhounds and their roster of 20-plus players. Last week’s on-field workouts included time in the batting cage both on the field and in the indoor hitting cage located down the left-side line of Cecil Patterson Field.

    The Greyhounds, coming off yet another state playoff appearance, will hold multiple games against one another with a set of intrasquad scrimmages on Friday afternoon starting at 4:30 p.m. with the remainder on Saturday afternoon.

    Next up will be a scrimmage Feb. 9 against West Laurens followed by road games Feb 10 at Appling County, at Perry on Feb. 13 and at home against West Laurens on Feb. 17.
