James has double-double as SGTC finishes conference play unbeaten
South Georgia Tech capped an unbeaten season in the women’s basketball ranks of the GCAA Saturday, beating East Georgia 72-62 as JCHS alum Camryn James exploded for 22 points and 13 rebounds. The Jets play in the GCAA semifinals on Friday.
Howard, Lady Dawgs on string of shutouts
Georgia softball has won five games in a row, all by shutout. Lady Greyhound alum Destin Howard is responsible in part for two of them, pitching two hitless shutout innings on Saturday against Hofstra and Cal Baptist. Georgia hosts Ball State, Stetson and Samford in this weekend’s Bulldog Classic.
