The summer is nearly here, and information has begun to be released for some of the youth sports camps offered by JCHS athletic teams.
Youth Football Camp May 16-18
Jones County’s football program will again host its annual Youth Football Skills Camp May 16-18 at Greyhound Field from 5 pm. To 8 p.m. each day.
Registration is $90 through May 13 and $100 afterwards, and checks should be made payable to the Jones County Touchdown Club. Campers should come dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes / football cleats. Campers should also bring money for concessions. Coach Buck’s Greyhound Basketball Camp
Coach Buck’s Greyhound Basketball Camp will be held June 5-8, and sign ups are now open. Each day of the camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Girls Basketball Camp
The Lady Greyhounds will host their girls basketball camp from June 12-15, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, for ages 6-18 at the JCHS Gymnasium. The cost is $100 per camper. For more info, email cgwaltney@jones.k12.ga.us
Competition Cheer Kiddy Camp
The Competition Cheer Kiddy Camp will be held June 26-28 from 8:30 a.m, to Noon at the Cheer Factory. The cost is $100 and open to ages 4-14. Sign ups will take place June 6-8 at the Cheer Factory from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Activities will include campers learning how to cheer and dance, crafts, snacks and a t-shirt and bow.
Lady Hounds Fastpitch Softball Camp
The Lady Hounds will host their girls softball camp for ages 5-14 (rising eighth graders and below) from June 5-8 at the JCHS softball field from 9 a.m. to noon.
Registration is $90 per camper if signed up by May 26 and $100 afterwards. There is a $5 discount per each additional sibling. Tennis Camp June 12-14
The Jones County Tennis Summer Camp will be held June 12-14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the JCHS Tennis Courts for rising third through ninth graders. The cost is $50 per participant and includes a camp t-shirt. Registration as well as payment is due by June 1. Soccer Camp slated for evening time slot
