“I am the LORD, I change not…” (Mal 3:6) You can count on God to remain God. He does not change with the times, and the times do not change Him. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Heb 13:8).
So what does this mean? God’s morality, God’s holiness, God being God, does not ever change. Sin is still sin to Him regardless of what the times or people or customs declare.
The Ten Commandments, scoffed at and ignored in our modern era, are still the standards of God.
The Bible is still the only word of God. Salvation is still only found in Jesus: not science; not philosophy; not our inner selves.
Jesus is still the only way, the only truth, the only life (John 14:6). Jesus’ blood is still the only thing that can wash away our sins (I John 1:7). And Jesus still saves today!
While the world sinks further into spiritual darkness, groping at so called truths that aren’t truths, Jesus remains unchanged. He is the Rock who will still forgive and who will still save any that will repent and turn to Him.
Because God is unchangeable, you can rely on His faithfulness and His word.
