CROSS COUNTRY
The region title will be determined on the cross country course Oct. 21 at Union Grove. Between now and then, the stated goal for the Greyhounds and Lady Hounds is to keep steaming forward with momentum.
That was hammered out last Thursday in a two-mile meet hosted by Bleckley County with both teams finishing second to a Bleckley County team that annually contends for a state title in its classification.
Lilly Palmer finished fourth for the Lady Greyhounds, one position in front of Isabella Sanchez with Addison Robinson in ninth place.
The Greyhounds were just as if not more impressive with the race’s second, third and fourth positions being filled out by Luke Thornton, Tyler Marshall and Gavin Robinson.
JCHS also posted multiple top finishes in the JV race, some of which were eighth graders moving up for run at a level above their usual competition.
