PLEAS
State vs. Bryant Cole Eskew – three years for the offense of theft by conversion. Sentence to be served on probation.
State vs. Jerald Cecil Havis – five years for the offense of cruelty to children in second degree, with the first 150 days served in confinement. The remainder of sentence to be served on probation.
State vs. Douglas Andrew Shurley Jr, - 12 months ct. 1: sexual battery, five years each cts. 2 & 3: lesser included offense of sexual battery on a minor. Counts 2 -3 to run consecutively but concurrent with count 1 for a total of 10 years. Sentence to be served on probation. Defendant to receive credit for time served from 11/21/19.
State vs. Lisa Pelt Lang – 2 years ct. 2: possession of controlled substance, 3 years ct. 3: possession controlled substance.
Counts to run consecutively for a total of five years with the first 10 days served in confinement. The remainder of sentence to be served on probation. Defendant to receive credit for time served from 8/29/19.
PROBATION MODIFICATIONS
State vs. Kimberly Joyce Tyler – defendant is ordered to serve 24 months in the Jones County jail. Credit for time served from 9/8/23. Upon completion, defendant shall return to active probation supervision until the termination of probation. End date 12/1/26. All conditions now special.
Released at the discretion of the sheriff.
State vs. Kimberly Joyce Tyler – defendant’s balance is revoked to Jones County jail. End date 2/14/24. Defendant shall receive credit for time served in the Jones County jail since 9/8/23.
State vs. Christopher Lamar Myrick – defendant is ordered to credit for time already served in the Jones County jail since 11/7/23. Upon release, defendant’s probation shall terminate.
State vs. Lisa Pelt Lang – defendant is adjudicated guilty and resentenced to five years probation with credit for time already served on probation on the conditional discharge sentence. Defendant is further ordered to serve 60 days in the Jones County jail with credit for time already served in jail. She shall be released at the discretion of the sheriff. Upon release, she shall return to regular probation supervision. All conditions now special.
State vs. Douglas Shurley – defendant is adjudicated guilty and resentenced to serve 10 years on probation, receiving credit for time served on probation and all monies paid since 11/21/19. All conditions now special.
State vs. Walker Pink Kitchens – defendant ordered to enter into and successfully complete the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment ITF program. Defendant shall remain in the Jones County jail until entry into said program, followed by aftercare. All conditions now special.
