Bradley Baptist hosts Easter egg hunt

EASTER CELEBRATION

The Jones County community is invited to an Easter egg hunt March 23 at 11 a.m. at Bradley Baptist Church in Gray to celebrate Easter with their families for free.

Bradley Baptist Church is located at 821 Monticello Highway in Gray.

Bethany Herin, the children’s director at Bradley Baptist Church, said she’s excited to see everyone at the event.

“We will be having an egg hunt on March 23 at 11 a.m. here at Bradley Baptist, and we will have lunch after,” she said. “We normally have a big crowd since it’s community wide.

Anyone is welcome to come. We ask that you sign up beforehand on our app or use the link on our Facebook page.”

She said Bradley Baptist Church is all about community events and inviting people to church.

She said the Easter egg hunt is important for Bradley Baptist Church, because they want to get more children in the churches and help them have a relationship with God.

“We love being able to have these community events. They help bring people to God. I can’t wait to see the kid’s faces and their excitement with the egg hunt. They get super excited and you can only hold them back so long before you have to say go, then they’re getting the eggs. It’s just a lot of fun,” Herein said.

The children’s director said Bradley Baptist Church is just a casual, country church. She said it’s like a big family at the church. She said she likes the love and support she receives from everyone.

She said Bradley Baptist Church is like home to her, and she hopes it becomes home for some more people who visit on March 23.

Herin said the Easter Bunny will be at Bradley Baptist Church that day for photo opportunities.

She said she can’t wait to see everyone come out to the event and enjoy the egg hunt. She said they are prepared and ready.

“I absolutely know everyone is going to enjoy the Easter egg hunt,” the children’s director said.

“It’s important to celebrate Easter, so we can tell others why we celebrate Easter. We always invite the community to celebrate with us on Easter Sunday.”
