Forsyth Antiques and More offers oodles of goods

Forsyth Antiques and More, an antiques mall that sells more than just antiques, is open for anyone looking to shop in the area and find something unique.

The antiques mall is located at 816 U.S.

Highway 41 in Forsyth, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Carol Robeson, one of the owners, said the community has welcomed them with open arms, because they have so much to offer everyone. She said they are important for the local community, because people don’t have to travel as far to get certain items they may want or need.

“We opened Forsyth Antiques and More about two years ago, and we have over 185 vendors,” she said.

“We named the place Forsyth Antiques and More, because we don’t just have antiques here; we have a lot more. We have something here for everybody.”

She said she enjoys decorating and gifts.

After she retired from teaching things just fell into place with the local antiques business.

She said helping to run Forsyth Antiques and More has become a passion for her. Robeson currently lives in Macon. “This place meets a need for people here in Forsyth. I have met many wonderful people from here. We have people come from Jones County, Eatonton, Sandy Springs, Barnesville, Griffin, Thomaston, Perry, Fort Valley, Dublin, and many other places to shop here,” she said.

Henry Hicks, the other owner of Forsyth Antiques and More, said he really enjoys what he does. He said people enjoy shopping at the antiques mall and seeing what they have to offer.

“I own the building, and I decided to convert the space into an antiques mall,” he said.

“Carol and I are business partners here at Forsyth Antiques and More, and we see people come in from all over who are fascinated with such a large antiques mall.”

He said they sell gifts, holiday items, dishes, clothing, jewelry, vintage items, furniture, and much more. He said the vendors come in and decorate based on the seasons. Right now, they have a lot of fall and Christmas items available.

“I’m from Macon, but I enjoy having my business in Forsyth. It’s a great town with a great atmosphere. We have a lot of great restaurants, and Forsyth is great about having seasonal events,” Hicks said.

Robeson said her favorite thing about Forsyth Antiques and More is the customers who walk through the door, and the many different vendors they have. She said the vendors are wonderful, and they are like family.

“People like how clean the business is and how friendly we are. My staff is wonderful. Visitors can come in here and find things they weren’t even looking for. People should shop here, because we have a wide variety of items,” she said.

Hicks said he sees Forsyth Antiques and More being around for a long time. He said he thinks they are just now really starting to grow and see progress, and he’s looking forward to seeing how things go.

He said he hopes to see many people come out to the large antiques mall.

“We have lots of return shoppers, and almost every day we see someone new stepping into the building. It’s great to see them come in and see what we have,” he said. “You can certainly find something here you will enjoy, so we hope to see more people stop by.”
