Dear Editor,
Changes are ahead with our events this year. One very unexpected and unwanted change occurred a month ago when we lost a treasured team member, Miss Barbara Anne Adams. Barbara was a beloved and devoted member of our team and this community. We need and appreciate your prayers as we forge ahead to complete the mission God has called us to in our community.
We are a public ministry, not competing with any church or organization, desiring to see the local churches come together, outside the church walls, united, as the Body of Christ, to bless our community and glorify our God through prayer, the reading of God’s Word, and other gatherings as He directs. We are adding an event in the fall, so we have moved our Read Thru the Bible event to the spring. It will overlap the National Day of Prayer, resulting in two significant opportunities, in one week, to make an eternal impact on the people of this community.
The Bible speaks of appointed times and I believe these two events belong in that category. God is calling His children to work together and fight the evil in this world using His Word, and through prayer and declarations.
Your presence and support are requested and needed. MARK your calendar now and DO your part to make these events a success.
CHALLENGE your family, neighbors, and congregation to support both these events.
PRAYER and the WORD are the most powerful forces ever! Declaring them aloud, in faith, with likeminded agreement, is like a power surge greater than any we’ve ever experienced!
You and I, through the public reading of scripture and prayer, WILL make a difference, in the lives of those in our community and world. God’s Word guarantees it.
Do NOT miss it!
READ THRU THE BIBLE
April 27 - May 4, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily, Carol’s Park We ask that people read for 15-minute segments or more. They can read every day if they wish.
Groups and individuals may reserve a block of time to read, which is an advantage to just showing up. Walk-ups are welcome, too, and this is the way many participate. Bring your children (they can quote scripture if unable to read), bring a meal, or just enjoy listening to and agreeing with the spoken Word.
Contact us at KBOMIN092@gmail.com if you wish to reserve a block of time (think families/church groups).
Bring your Bible or read from one of ours. Do NOT let fear of how to say the big names intimidate you (that is the devil talking, and fear is a liar). No judgment here, because none of us know for certain how they are pronounced. Take your best shot and just keep going.
God will bless you and the reading. Prove you are NOT ashamed of Jesus by blessing Him in this way.
The NATIONAL DAY of PRAYER
Thursday, May 2, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Carol’s Park National Prayers and Declarations are what this is about. Friends, God uses His people to accomplish His purposes. It is up to us to turn America back to its founding principles, which are based on the Holy Scriptures. Powerful, believing, agreeing, prayers and decrees are the way to do this. Our inclement weather location is Gray Baptist Church.
We are all very busy, but It Is Time, (actually, it is PAST time), to Take a Stand. Jesus did not make excuses to keep from suffering and dying on that cross for us. There are valid reasons some cannot attend these events, BUT, no excuses please. Come receive your blessing, as you bless our God and our entire community. Be a difference maker for eternity!
Sincerely, Debra Hall & Team KBOMIN kbomin092@gmail.com
