Salem AME Church Anniversary

Salem AME Church, 115 Holloman Road, will be celebrating its 141st Church Anniversary on Sunday, May 26, at 2:00 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Bernard Sutton of Grays Chapel AME Church in Adairsville, GA.

New Hope Baptist Vacation Bible School

New Hope Baptist Church, 1393 Highway 49, will be having Vacation Bible School Monday through Wednesday, June 3-5, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. All children ages 1 through 13 are invited. The title is Rocky Beach, Jesus is my Rock.

Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth is presented by Les Dames Magnifiques of Gray/ Jones County, Georgia. All are welcome to join in the celebration June 29, at Carol’s Park in Gray from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The celebration will include a day filled with performances, education, and enjoyable activities for every age. Experience a positive and uplifting celebration the history of this holiday. Local artists, vendors, and food trucks will be present. The public’s presence will add joy and warmth to this vibrant event. Persons or organizations that would like to participate in this event or if interested in being a vendor, please contact Debra Purnell at 478-986-7278. The requested vendor fee is $30.00.

CASA new volunteer training

Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold a new volunteer training on May 13, 15, 20, 22 and 28, from 1-4 p.m. each day at the Putnam Administration Building, 117 Putnam Drive in Eatonton. CASA volunteers serve as advocates for children in foster care. Please call 478452-9170 for more information.

Gray Garden Club Day Lilly display

Come and display your favorite day lilies June 1, at the W. E. Knox Civic Center. Flowers need to be received from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Judging 10:30 to 11:30, open to the public 12:00 to 4:00. Specimens must be picked up at 3:00 or it will be disposed of. The specimen should be owned at least three months; limit 24-inch scape. Categories: large, small, miniature, double, unusual form, spider. Containers are supplied.

Gray Church of God Revival
