TK Med Spa held a July 13th Extravaganza Saturday to sponsor dogs to get them adopted and help support local businesses in the community.

Tory Etheridge, the owner of TK Med Spa, said she was excited for the event, and that she was able to help others in the Jones County community in some way.

“We wanted to sponsor some dog adoptions here at TK Med Spa, so we decided to host this July 13th Extravaganza,” she said. “We had Rock On Rescue out with dogs, and we sponsored dogs from the Jones County Animal Services as well. We also had some family fun with food trucks, an inflatable for kids and local vendors.”

She said they wanted to host an event like the extravaganza, because they wanted to support local people and businesses. They also wanted to help out Rock On Rescue and the shelter with getting dogs adopted.

“This event allowed a bunch of small businesses to be here and get their products out there to the community. It’s important to sponsor Rock On Rescue and the animal shelter, because they are always at capacity. We don’t want to see any animal get euthanized. It was important to us to help do something,” Etheridge said.

The owner said Rock On Rescue had dogs available at the event for people to see and adopt, but there were others they couldn’t bring. She said they had information to provide people about the various dogs they couldn’t bring along.

Etheridge said everyone had a great time at the event, and she was glad to see so many people visit TK Med Spa. She said her favorite thing was discovering local businesses she had never heard about. She said supporting those local businesses and the community was important to do.

“This was a great family friendly event,” the owner said. “Even if people didn’t buy anything, it was great to see people supporting our local businesses and visiting the dogs. It was a great way for parents to get out and let their kids have a little fun, too.”
