Voter Registration Drive

St. Paul A.M.E. Church is sponsoring a voter registration drive on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The location is the Maggie Califf High School where the shop and/or Alternative School was located.

Any young people who will be 18 on or before Nov. 5, can register.

If any student attending college out of county or state, or in the military should get an absentee ballot. This also applies for any eligible voter who will be out of town on Nov. 5, 2024.

Station 8 Barbecue Fund Raiser

Jones County Fire Department Station 8, on Gray Highway, is having its annual Open House and barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be prepared by Station 8’s cooking crew and include our own local Snow’s Famous Brunswick Stew.

Plates are $10.00, including drinks. Please come join us that day.

Touch-A-Truck

Touch-A-Truck will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the grounds of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. Admission is $5. Food will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at: Morris Bank, Ace of Gray, Chevy’s Pizza, Jones County Sheriff’s Department, or from any Pilot Club of Jones County member.

Downtown Fall Festival

The Downtown Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo and much more. Followed by live music.

Holliman Grove Pentecostal Church

Holliman Grove Pentecostal Church will have its Family and Friends Day Oct. 20, 1:00 p.m., at 280 Vinson Road, McIntyre, GA. The public is invited to join.

There will be a baking contest and awards will be given. Contact Pastor Norman White for contest registration at 478-283-2600.

Lions Club Gun Raffle

30 guns in 30 days. Daily drawings start on Nov. 1-30.
