Treated sewage into Ocmulgee River?
Dear Editor,
Your readers may be interested to know that the City of Forsyth has requested permission from the Georgia DNR/ EPD to discharge up to 2 million gallons/day of treated sewer discharge into the Ocmulgee river at the GROGREEN plant site at Juliette.
We believe that this is incompatible with current use of the river such as fishing, recreation, endangered species, and just plain bad for the river and this area.
If you have an interest in this please contact the City of Forsyth, Monroe County Commission, Congressman Austin Scott, Senators John Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, your State Representatives, or your Jones County Commissioners and voice your opinion
Sincerely, Mack Faircloth
