An additional layer of summer all-star baseball and softball district tournaments continued last week, including two hosted by Jones County.
A pair of softball tournaments were staged at Morris Bank Recreation Complex in the 8-10 and little league age groups. Jones County’s all-stars took part in the latter of the two.
In 8-10 baseball, Jones County battled back from an opening loss to Warner Robins American Little League before beating Chatham Red 6-3 prior to being eliminated by Vine-Ingle. Jones County was also in the field from the 10-12 baseball district tourney, dropping a pair of games to WRALLL and Dudley.
