CHEER HOUNDS
BONAIRE – Jones County kicked off competition cheerleading season on Saturday at the Middle Georgia Cheer Classic hosted by Houston County.
Sporting brand new uniforms, the Cheer Hounds shined bright, taking home first-place honors with the middle school squad also posting a strong performance in the event that began in the morning.
“We are excited to see what this season holds,” JCHS competition cheerleading coach Meddie Fuller said. “This is an awesome team full of talent and heart. We had many challenges this week, and the team pulled through.”
JCHS competes next weekend in Vidalia, continuing a span that began Saturday with three meets in three weekends that will wrap up Oct. 15 at East Laurens. Jones County will take its varsity squad to Loganville Oct. 29 before the region meet Nov. 5 at Houston County.
