On Tuesday night, the Lady Greyhounds staged a road upset in the first round of the state tournament. On Wednesday, it was the Greyhounds' turn to take down a region champion.
Jones County overpowered Bradwell Institute 65-44 on Wednesday, taking down the first-seeded Tigers. The win completed a clean sweep for the Greyhounds region, 2-AAAAA, as all its teams won their first-round boys' state tournament contests.
The Greyhounds will play Tucker, the second seed from region 4, on either Friday or Saturday. The Tigers beat Northgate 65-45 in the first round.
