Hounds wrap up first month of offseason workouts

GREYHOUND FOOTBALL

The Greyhounds first month of summer voluntary workouts came to a close last week with weather forcing the adjustment of previously-set activity. JCHS, now in the midst of a two-week break, will resume work in July following the GHSA’s second dead week from July 3-9.

Last week wrapped up a handful of weeks filled with conditioning, on-field positional work and winning a 7-on-7 tournament at the University of Georgia.

Some of the Greyhounds standouts have been busy off the field, too. Numerous Greyhounds have picked up interest and offers from collegiate programs. Quarterback Judd Anderson has committed to Miami, and Warchant.com reported over the weekend that Zion Ragins’ visit to Florida State was his final official visit, and he plans to make a final decision next month between the Seminoles, Georgia and Oklahoma.

In addition to Ragins and Anderson, others to recently pick up offers have included defensive back Roderick Freeman from Reinhardt with receivers Jaivon Solomon being offered by Pittsburgh and Tyler Stewart receiving recent offers from Navy and MTSU. Running back Jaivon Butts has also drawn interest, getting offers from Liberty, Indiana, Nebraska and North Carolina. Recent offers have also included Jacob Jackson from Reinhardt College.
