RECREATION PICKLEBALL
The world’s largest indoor pickleball facility was christened last weekend with the Candy Cane Classic Pickleball Tournament being held at the Rhythm and Rally complex at the site of the Macon Mall. Pickleball players from Jones County took part in the historic two-day event, some taking home top finishes.
Local players placing in their brackets were Kari Eidson and Katie Barksdale winning silver, Lisa Kelly and Dianne Harrison being awarded silver in their bracket and bronze overall, Laurie Bryan and Mandy Poff winning gold in their bracket and silver overall, Butch Bryan and Ken Clampitt taking silver in their group and bronze overall with Butch Bryan and Laurie Bryan winning gold as well.
