JONES COUNTY RECREATION
Before all of the fireworks and cookouts took place on the Fourth of July, the day began with drop shots and dinks on the lower pickleball courts at the Morris Bank Recreation Complex.
A total of 19 two-person teams from Jones, Houston, Macon-Bibb, Baldwin, Monroe and Henry counties took part in the Independence Day Dinkin’ tournament with each team being guaranteed four games as cash prizes were awarded at the conclusion of a tourney in which more than 100 games were played.
Grant and Griffin Maki won the open division with first place in the 3.75 division going to Chad Foskey and Wendell Brewton. Bryce Paladino and Jacob Moore won the 3.5 division.
