HOOP HOUNDS
The postseason began earlier this week for both the Lady Greyhounds and Greyhounds, and the possible postseason path was one with familiar opponents.
The Lady Greyhounds, who began the state tournament as the second seed from GHSA Region 2-AAAAA, hosted McIntosh on Tuesday. A win in that contest would set Jones County up for a second-round matchup against Lithonia or Ware County on either Friday or Saturday. A matchup against the Gators would be in Waycross, the same place where JCHS upset Ware County in last year’s first round.
The Greyhounds began the boys state tourney on Wednesday at McIntosh. A win there by JCHS would set them up for a road game at either Ware County or Tucker. Jones County upset Tucker in last year’s second round.
