    Each fall, the Lady Greyhounds softball program finds itself in contention for a spot in the state’s Elite 8 in Columbus. Enthusiastic softball players as young as age 5 all the way up to rising eighth graders got the chance last week during multiple mornings to learn more about the game from the very same players and coaches that drive that success each fall. Camp activities included working on fundamentals, such as fielding and throwing with JCHS pitchers also working on campers with the technique utilized to pitch in fast-pitch softball. Campers also enjoyed beating the heat during camp as a slip and slide was also set up.
