Goins Named All-State
Keegan Goins, who graduated from JCHS this past May, has one more accomplishment to add to her Lady Greyhounds golf career. Goins has been named an all-state selection.
Goins helped the Lady Hounds to top-10 finishes in the state tournament the past two seasons and placed seventh this past May. She will continue her golf career this fall at Piedmont College.
Ravens suffer first loss of season
The Georgia Ravens suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 14-8 to the Clayton County Spartans.
The Ravens continue to be strong defensively, having given up 14 points through three games.
The Ravens will head to Canton on Saturday to face the Bruins prior to their next home game on Aug. 12 against the Ducks. – Brad Harrison
