Eight collect all-region cross country honors
This past fall saw the Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds three-peat as region cross champions before going on to earn top-10 finishes in the GHSA state meet.
Individuals that led them to that success were recently recognized as all-region selections with a total of eight being honored.
That included the Lady Greyhounds entire top five, led by region champion Addison Robinson in addition to Isabella Sanchez, Lilly Palmer, Camryn Wommack and Tanner Watts.
For the Greyhounds, region champion Luke Thornton also collected all-region honors along with Tyler Marshall and Grady Newby.
Team Lady Hounds named softball all-region Following yet another postseason appearance, 10 Lady Greyhounds have been named all-region selections, four being named to the first team out of Region 2-AAAA.
Outfielder Tranasia Parker, infielder Myah Briscoe, pitchers Cate Downey and Ansley Pegg in addition to utility player/designated player Kaleigh Scarborough were recognized as first-team selections.
Named to the second team were infields Sydney Hawkins and Ensley Barnes, outfielders Genna Maki and Marissa Moore as well as catcher Allie Miller.
