Since the Volley Hounds began the season in early August, one of the major tasks at hand has been to continue growth and be rolling along when region matches begin.

Like many sports, volleyball is one of which momentum is crucial, and Jones County, which began region play on Tuesday at Warner Robins against the Demons as well as Eagles Landing, pegged its record to 5-2 with success against Lamar County. JCHS got a sweep of the Trojans, starting with a 25-21 win in the first game. The Volley Hounds kept the pressure up, taking the second game 25-17 and the finale 25-22, pulling out another close win for the 3-0 sweep.

Region play continues next week for the Lady Hounds when they have another round of region matches, playing Ola and Dutchtown in a match hosted by Ola.
