With what amounts to the first half of the region softball schedule now in the rear-view mirror, the Lady Greyhounds find themselves not only among the top teams, but also very much in the running to take a swing at the top overall spot in the standings.

Greyhounds sailing into region play on heels of big win over Peach County

In their final tune-up before region play begins, Jones County soaked in the sweet taste of victory on Friday against Peach County, excelling in multiple phases in a dominant 48-21 win against the Trojans. Region play is next for the Greyhounds (2-2), who travel to Locust Grove on Friday.

Bulldogs open SEC play with Gamecocks
