The Greyhounds cheerleading program will host a future cheerleading clinic Sept. 5 from 6-8 p.m. for ages pre-k to fifth grade. The cost is $35 and includes a shirt and cheerleading bow for each participant.

JCHS hosts fall sports media day

The season openers begin this week for two JCHS sports with others to follow soon. Ahead of that, the full breadth of Greyhound athletics was on display Monday night as the inaugural fall sports media day event was hosted at the high school.

The Georgia Ravens will return home for their second home game of the season on Saturday against the Ducks. They’ll be looking to bounce back from a highscoring loss on Saturday to the Cherokee County Bruins, 42-24.

Washed Up Wins Grayberry League Title A summer of softball at the parks and recreation fields ended recently with the conclusion of the Grayberry Women’s Softball League. The championship game saw Washed Up prevail over the Bad Pitches 15-3 after an 11-3 semifinal victory to advance.
