Greene excited for Lady Hounds growth in progress

It’s every bit of what Lady Greyhounds head soccer coach Mikayla Greene calls a “blank slate” as the season begins. A bevy of seniors have graduated since last season, including Emily Brennaman, who was the go-to scorer for Jones County in recent years.

Gray Station sweeps Clifton Ridge

In a key game for both teams late in the season, the second round of the annual hardwood clash between Gray Station Middle School and Clifton Ridge took place last Tuesday at GSMS. The girls game went to Gray Station 41-19 with the boys game seeing Clifton Ridge rally late before GSMS won 33-25.

Competing for team scores is out the window for the Greyhound wrestlers. Now, it’s all about one-on-one competition. The quest to be among the best in an individual weight class kicks up this weekend with the region traditional tournament, and Jones County will serve as the host.
