AOC Matthew Blake Belflower is the local veteran of the week. He is a 2003 graduate of Jones County High School. He joined the U.S.
Navy in September of 2003. During his career, he has been deployed to Persian Gulf four times. Two deployments were served on CVN-65 USS ENTERPRISE and two were served on CVN-75 USS Harry S. Truman. He is currently stationed at the Naval Station Norfolk where he is a member of the Weapons Safety Assistance Team East.
