Three students from the Tri-County service area each received a $2,000 Tri-County EMC Cooperative Scholarship this month. Funds were awarded based on academics, financial need and a demonstrated commitment to the community in which they reside.
“One of the principles cooperatives are based is being committed to the communities we serve,” said Kim Broun, Manager of Energy Services with Tri-County EMC. “One of the ways we do that is awarding $13,000 in scholarships to students from our service area each year.”
