JCHS teacher recognized for excellence in education

Christine Geske-Stewart, a teacher at the Jones County High School, recently won the Sylvia W. McGee Excellence in Education Award, where she was recognized for her innovative teaching. Geske-Stewart said she’s lived in Macon for 7 years now but enjoys teaching in Jones County.

SUMMER READING IS HERE

The kickoff for the Summer Reading Program at the Jones County Public Library turned out to be a record-breaking occasion, logging the largest number of patrons for a day to date. This year’s theme for the program is “Oceans of Possibilities.

Fifth graders at Turner Woods say ‘aloha’

Turner Woods Elementary School’s PTO held a luau for the fifthgrade students May 20, so the students could celebrate one last time with their friends at the school and make memories.

Real Life

“The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy” (Ps 145:20) God is generous to His children, those who love Him, those born again through faith in Jesus. In that generosity, God preserves, protects, watches over His kids. He will help in times of trouble.
