Dairy Queen brings new tradition of lights to Gray

After days of anticipation and excitement, the countdown finally arrived.Sunday night, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m., the switch was thrown, and more than 20,000 lights lit up Gray’s Dairy Queen Christmas. Those in attendance said it was worth the wait.Brandy Round was one of those.“This was awesome.

No one injured, house lost in Thanksgiving fire

An early morning fire on Thanksgiving Day destroyed a Jones County home but thankfully resulted in no injuries.A press release from Jones County Fire Chief Thomas Coleman stated that the fire was reported at 1 a.m. Nov. 28, and firefighters were on the scene within a few minutes.

Hometown Christmas Market set Saturday

The Christmas season officially begins in the City of Gray with the Main Street Gray Hometown Christmas Market this weekend.The event begins at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30 and will continue until 5 p.m. right in the middle of Downtown Gray.
