County approves bids for next phase of water expansion

Jones County Board of Commissioners had a short business session with the approval of bids for the next phases of the county’s project to extend water to more areas of the county the biggest agenda item.The March 3 meeting was called to order by Chairman Chris Weidner.

Citizens clean up community

A group of citizens from across Jones County gathered on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 7, for a roadside cleanup along Griswoldville Rd. Organized by Alex Lefholz and Dustin Riley, the effort resulted in the collection of 31 bags of trash from the roadside and adjacent wood lines.
