Defendant pleads guilty for shooting

A defendant arrested in connection with a November shooting in a Jones County neighborhood received a 10-year sentence last week after entering a guilty plea. Jesus Antonio Oberle, 23, was in Jones County Superior Court Jan. 29 to enter his plea to the charge of aggravated assault.

Oconee Ranger District hosts annual forestry meeting

Probationer going to prison for felony shoplifting

A defendant well known by law enforcement officers in Jones County and the City of Gray was revoked to prison due to the violation of his probation. Willie Earl Sanders Jr. was revoked to serve two years in prison Jan. 25 due to new charges that were a violation of his probation.
