Defendant avoids trial with guilty plea, gets 15 years

A defendant slated for trial opted to enter a guilty plea and received a sentence of 15 years that may be served on probation, due to plea negotiations. Cameren Dillion Freeman, 23, was in Jones County Superior Court Nov. 30.

Bond denied for man accused of firing shots

Bond was denied a Macon man facing charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats who was in court seeking bond 10 days after his arrest. Jesus Antonio Oberle, 23, was in Jones County Superior Court Nov. 30.

Annual Christmas parade hosted by Sincerity Lodge 430

Sincerity Lodge 430 in Gray, a Masonic Lodge, is hosting the annual Gray Christmas parade this year Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. to spread the Christmas spirit and keep traditions alive. Bruce Stanford, the lodge’s Worshipful Master, said he’s excited for the parade this year and all it will bring.
