Board of Health updated on progress of renovations

The Jones County Board of Health had a delayed quarterly meeting, but members completed necessary business before the end of the fiscal year deadline. The June 27 meeting was called to order by the board’s vice chairperson, Leslie Coleman, in the absence of chairman Ed Barbee.

Friends of the Library hold used book sale Saturday

The Jones County Friends of the Library is having their used book sale this upcoming Saturday, July 8, at the Jones County Pre-K in building E for people interested in scoring some summer reads. Sarah Hancock, president of the Jones County Friends of the Library, said she’s excited for the sale.
