Tekton Electrical Services, located at 2225 Gray Highway, held its ribbon cutting with the Jones County /Gray Chamber of Commerce June 6. Owners Harley and Mason Valier, both from Jones County, cut the ribbon. The company handles residential, commercial and industrial services.

Indictments include murder, drug charges

Jones County’s Grand Jury met last week and brought back 24 true bills of indictment for crimes ranging from drug possession to rape and murder. Nine individuals are facing charges of aggravated assault as a result of the June 6 indictments.

Crew program could offer activities beyond scouting

Eric Song is looking to start the Crew program in Jones County now that his son, Chayton Song, has become an Eagle Scout and is searching for youth who would be interested in the program. He said his wife grew up in Jones County, and he ended up in Jones County his junior year of High School.
