Bond denied: Former deputy considered a danger to witnesses as well as to himself

Bond was denied for a Jones County man recently indicted for multiple charges, including child molestation, incest and cruelty to children.Michael Scott Dorough was in Jones County Superior Court June 16 seeking a bond. He was represented by defense attorney Floyd Buford.

Jones County voters made their choices known in last week’s primary runoff with a turnout total close to 20 percent of registered voters.The primary runoff was needed in several contests because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the May 19 Primary Election.
